Q&A

The announcement by NBTC requires individual users who use 6 mobile numbers or more in both prepaid and postpaid to verify their identity. This is to protect the rights and benefits of service users and to provide support for the prevention of technological crimes and to maintain cybersecurity for Thai people.

We request customers to update their information by verifying their identity as the actual registrants and users of the phone number. This can be done through three channels as follows:

1) myAIS App : By selecting and clicking on the profile menu, update the user information (only for prepaid numbers and WiFi must be disabled) (one number at a time) or.
2) Dial *161*2*ID card number# and make a free call. Alternatively, type the passport number and send an SMS to the number 4444161: Wait for the SMS and follow the steps (one number at a time).
3) AIS Shop, AIS Telewiz, AIS Dealers nationwide : You can use your ID card number, mobile phone, and SIM card to verify your identity through the mentioned channels.

The number will be temporarily suspended but you can still receive calls and can make calls to some emergency numbers namely 191, 199, 1669, 1175, and you can also access the myAIS app and ais.co.th.

- For customers who use numbers from the amount of 6-100 number per one ID card number, please confirm the usage by July 13, 2567 (Thai calendar).
- For customers who use numbers from the amount of 101 numbers onwards per one ID card number, please confirm usage by February 14, 2567 (Thai calendar).

Every individual must register their SIM card when purchasing a new one. However, according to the announcement by NBTC this time, it only applies to individual customers registered for mobile services, both prepaid and postpaid, who use 6 numbers onwards for a single user, and has received an SMS for identity verification from AIS.

You must complete the process personally with the requirement of your ID card number and the SIM card of the number you wish to verify.

You can check through the '3 Step' application to verify the number of registered phone numbers.

You can complete them later, but not beyond the specified time frame.

Customers can check the SMS messages they receive, which the company will send after the process is completed.

GOMO customers can verify their identity at all AIS Shop branches nationwide, but only registered users are eligible to proceed.
