AIS SUPER WiFi

The Amazing Experience with AIS SUPER WiFi

Questions and Answers

AIS SUPER WiFi is the next stage in the evolution of high-speed wireless internet network technology that utilizes the Wireless AC service (with IEEE802.11ac standard) to increase the transmission speed to 650 Mbps. With this new technology, customers can enjoy a better service with more coverage.

The service is the same but the name has been changed from AIS WiFi to AIS SUPER WiFi to match the improved wireless internet capability in the whole network.

The AIS SUPER WiFi network is best for stationary usage. Customers can benefit from the high speed connection of AIS SUPER WiFi by connecting to a WiFi hotspot when they remain within the coverage area, such as at a restaurant or coffee shop that has a stable connection.
The 4G/3G network is best when customers need internet on-the-go such as while travelling because 4G/3G has a much wider coverage area.

Only one device can be used at any time to connect to the WiFi network on an AIS SUPER Wi Fi account.

Customers can temporarily switch AIS SUPER WiFi access to a different device by:
1. Turning the WiFi function off on the device that is currently accessing AIS SUPER WiFi through the AIS SMART Login
2. Waiting 10 minutes for the system to clear the information
3. Logging in using the temporary device at .@ AIS SUPER WiFi with the customer’s username and password.

The password can be changed using the My AIS application. Go to the menu and click Service -> Request / change WiFi password

The AIS SUPER WiFi bridging network, AIS SMART Login, is a system that verifies your WiFi connection through a security code on the SIM card installed on a smartphone or tablet by using a high security standard to log in. In addition, the device will automatically connect to the WiFi network once the customer is within the AIS SUPER WiFi coverage area.

The AIS SMART Login network allows AIS Post-paid customers who have an unlimited AIS SUPER WiFi package to connect to the WiFi system automatically from the customer’s smartphone or tablet with a SIM card inserted.
The .@ AIS SUPER WiFi network enables customers with an AIS SUPER WiFi hourly and daily package to access the WiFi network from smartphone or tablet without the need for a SIM card. The customer is required to log in using the customer’s username and password on each connection.

Any remaining quota can be checked at https://wifi.ais.co.th from a device that is connected to the AIS SUPER WiFi network. The system will show the details of the current package and the remaining usage balance.

For customers using an hourly or daily AIS SUPER WiFi package, the system will automatically disconnect when the customer’s data usage has been inactive for 10 minutes.
Customers can also log out manually at https://wifi.ais.co.th from a device that is connected to the AIS SUPER WiFi network. If the customer needs to use the internet again, the customer will have to log back in to the network.

The factors that can affect the speed of the AIS SUPER WiFi network are:
a) AIS SUPER WiFi signal strength. If the customer is within a high signal strength area, the speed will be better than when the customer is within a poor signal strength area.
b) WiFi usage density within the area. In the customer is in a high usage density area, the speed will be negatively affected.
c) The customer’s AIS SUPER WiFi package. Different packages have different speeds.
