AIS Academy-Develop AIS Leadership through Digital Media
AIS Academy is dedicated to the development of human resources in a holistic and diverse learning environment that is tailored to every individual. AIS Academy also develops various learning styles, both online and offline, to suit each student's learning style. The Employee's life cycle in design starts from the first day of work to the preparation for retirement. Due to the above challenges, the personnel development plan is designed to be in line with the business direction and the goal of success. Based on the past performance in 2017, AIS Academy has completed 287 courses in Digital system (LearnDi). The assessment had been done after the recruitment. AIS Academy provides all employees with equal opportunity to learn through Digital system (LearnDi) in the compulsory courses, such as AIS Business Ethics, Customer Data Privacy Protection Policy, etc. The Digital Learning System has received the good feedbacks from over 12,000 AIS employees as the employees can learn freely without the limitation in terms of location and time. It also reduces costs and saves costs by up to 95 percent compared to the cost of traditional learning systems. Moreover, ReadDi / E-book also received the good response as well because it saves time for the convenience and increase of access. They can also provide knowledge to more employees and lower the costs than traditional libraries.

Voice of Employees

In order to establish an effective communication between AIS and employees, AIS has set up a various channels as follows

  1. Welfare committee - One channel to deliver employee voice/suggestion/request for better welfare treatment is through Welfare Committee. The committee members are elected from employees to represent in negotiation for employee’s welfare. AIS management supports Welfare Committee by paying attention to committee’s opinion/ suggestion and reasonably adjust practical welfare scheme for the proper benefit to match employee’s requirement. Currently, AIS has 15 Welfare Committees, each committee represents company with employ more than 50 employees in the building, under AIS umbrella. In addition, from total of 12,066 people in 2017, there are 12,053 employees under welfare committee (employee side) and 13 executives under welfare committee (employer side). This is account for 99.89%)
  2. Tea Talk with President - A skip level session with AIS President to receive feedback and recommendation directly from employees in terms of operational work issues, daily work issues and/or other issues related to company, employee engagement, and welfare & benefits. Information gathered from the session is addressed. In 2017, Tea Talk with PRD were arranged 3 times.
  3. Safety committee - AIS has established a Safety Committee with an aim to bridge cooperation between senior executives, management and operations in Occupational Health and Safety Management. According to SHE regulation, Safety Committee shall be founded for any office location of more than 50 employees. The duties of the Safety Committee are to review measures or corrective measures to ensure safety in work, promote safety activities in the workplace. Meeting is designated to be held on monthly basis or whenever there is a request from at least half of the Safety Committee.
  4. People champion - employee representatives in each business unit
  5. AIS Business plan - a formal meeting held twice a year to give AIS employees the opportunity to listen to the strategies, plans and guidelines of the organization in the conference room prepared and conducted live Broadcast from the conference room to the employee communication devices.
