Suppliers' ESG assessment


1. Spend analysis on our supply chain to identify critical suppliers in terms of high spending, critical components suppliers, non-substitutable suppliers as well as suppliers whose their products and/or services containing high-portion in our network. The analysis also covered the identification of suppliers with high sustainability risk which are the critical suppliers who declared negative on the specific questions in the supplier self-assessment in terms of ethical misconduct, lack of health and safety standard in work place, mission of labor practices standard and human rights issues founding.

Result:

After conduction of ESG assessment, AIS found 15 non-conformities from critical tier 1 suppliers and suppliers with high sustainability risks. During 2017, 100% of those suppliers are requested to comply with corrective action request (CAR). Finally, all of them can follow AIS’s standard in early 2018.

3. Monitoring AIS shall monitored suppliers through on-site audit, supplier self-assessment and/or others method at least annually. Suppliers are also required to provide supporting evidence and cooperation.

4. Integration of ESG factors into supply chain strategy

  1. Suppliers are required to comply with 100% of ESG conditions stated in the TOR, supplier code of conduct
  2. AIS will not involve into any transactions with suppliers who listed in AIS’s vendor and personnel blacklist
