FAQ

What should I do if I cannot use the Pocket WiFi and how do I contact the CALL CENTER ?
  • Check the Pocket WiFi battery. If the battery is flashing red, it means the battery is low, which might affect the signal broadcast. Please charge the battery.
  • If the battery is green but you are still unable to connect to the internet, try restarting the Pocket WiFi. Once the device has booted up, then check the network signal icon and the WiFi on the Pocket WiFi. Both icons should be green, but if any icon is flashing red, please contact AIS CALL CENTER +6622719000.
  • If the network signal bar and WiFi are green but you are still unable to connect to the internet, please contact AIS CALL CENTER +6620789000 or +6622719000
If I lost the Pocket WiFi pouch or the user manual, can I still get a full deposit refund ?

You will not get the deposit refund in both cases. You can claim the full deposit refund only when you return the complete Pocket WiFi set that consists of the Pocket WiFi, adaptor, charging cable, user manual and device holder pouch.

After I rent the Pocket WiFi at the shop, can I extend the rental duration? And how can I do that ?

Yes, you can extend the rental duration by contacting any AIS Shop.

Can I return the Pocket WiFi set at other AIS Shop branches besides the AIS Shop at Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Meuang Airport ?

Currently, you can only return the Pocket WiFi at the AIS Shop branches located in Suvarnabhumi Airport or Don Meuang Airport only.

Can I change the start date of the package?

Yes, you can change the start date by contacting the AIS Shop, 19 available branches as table above.

Terms and Condition

The Service Terms and Conditions shall become effective when the User (hereinafter referred to as “the Lessee”) rents a pocket WiFi internet device and other accessories (hereinafter referred to as “the Device”) by entering into a rental service agreement (hereinafter referred to as “the Agreement”) with the Advanced Wireless Network Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) as the Lessor.

1. Amendment

The Company reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions in this Agreement and/or Service without the Lessee’s permission. The Company shall notify the Lessee regarding the amended Terms and/or Service at www.ais.co.th/pocketwifirental. Any such amendment shall be deemed effective after the notification has been made via the aforementioned website.

2. Agreement

Once the Lessee rents the Device according to the steps set forth in this Agreement, this Agreement shall be deemed effective on the date that the Company receives full payment including the deposit as stated on the website (www.ais.co.th/pocketwifirental)

3. Rental duration

3.1 The minimum time unit used to calculate the service fee for the rental of a Device is a 24-hour unit. The counting starts from the date and time that the Lessee notified the Company of the first internet access. 3.2 When the Device is due to be returned to the Company and the Company cannot examine whether the Device has in fact been returned to the Company, the Company shall apply an extra-charge to the Lessee for the delay on a daily basis according to the rate specified on the website (www.ais.co.th/pocketwifirental) until it is proved to the Company that the Device has been returned to the place specified by the Company. 3.3 Should the Lessee wish to extend the rental duration before the Device is due to be returned to the Company, the Lessee shall notify a shop officer specified by the Company to extend the duration (of the Agreement). The Company shall then charge an additional service fee according to the length of the extension. In this regard, the minimum time unit to calculate the service fee for the rental of the Device is a 24-hour unit.

4. Rental procedures

4.1 The Lessee understands and agrees to the Terms and Conditions specified herein. 4.2 The Device to be rented shall be specified by the Company. The Lessee has no right to choose the Device. 4.3 The Company is able to refuse the Service and shall notify the person who wishes to rent the Device accordingly, should any of the cases stated below occur; - When it is reasonably believed that the Lessee may act in a way that might violate this Agreement. - When it is perceived that the Lessee may not be able to pay the service fee in this Agreement. - When the Lessee falsifies or fakes documents used to rent the Device. - When it is apparent that the Lessee acts against the law including public order and good morals. - When the Lessee tends to act in a way that shall affect the reputation of the Company by using the Service - Any circumstances that prevent the Company from providing the Service, The rental will be denied

5. Assignment and Amendment of the Lessee’s information

5.1 The Lessee is not permitted to assign any rights or responsibilities under this Agreement to any third party. 5.2 The Lessee is not allowed to amend his/her information submitted to the Company in order to rent the Device in this Agreement.

6. Delivery of device

The Lessee shall receive the Device from the Company at the shop specified by the Company.

7. Cancellation or rental duration postponement

7.1 The Lessee can neither cancel the rental service nor request a refund if s/he has already paid the service fee to the Company. 7.2 The Lessee is able to postpone the rental duration by giving prior notice to the shop specified by the Company. Such notice shall be made within 48 hours before the date notified by the Lessee as the first day of use of the internet. 7.3 The Lessee is able to postpone the rental duration once only.

8. Return of device

8.1 The Lessee shall return the Device at the shop specified by the Company on the date specified in the deposit receipt. 8.2 If the Lessee does not return the Device on the aforementioned date, the Company shall charge for any damages incurred as specified on the website (www.ais.co.th/pocketWiFirental)

9. Service fee

9.1 The service fee for this Service is the rate as specified at www.ais.co.th/pocketWiFirental 9.2 If the Lessee uses the Service outside the location first notified when applying to rent the Device, or excessively uses the internet more than the usual usage specified in Clause 16, the Company may charge an additional fee. 9.3 If it becomes evident to the Company that the Lessee uses the Service to operate the same type of business as the Service of the Company, the Company shall charge an additional fee calculated on the actual amount of internet usage.

10. Payment

10.1 Payment can be made by the means specified by the Company. 10.2 Payment made shall be subject to the regulations specified by the financial institution. 10.3 The deposit shall be paid upon receiving the Device and shall be calculated as specified by the Company. 10.4 Once the Service fee is paid and the Device is received by the Lessee, the Company reserves the right to keep the Service fee paid and is not obliged to return it in any cases.

11. Withholding the deposit

The Company has the right to withhold the deposit under the following conditions: - Parts of the Device have been damaged or lost. - The Void Sticker on the Pocket WiFi Device has been peeled off or torn. -The Lessee cannot return the Device on the date specified and the Company cannot examine the condition of the Device.

12. Termination

12.1 The Company can immediately terminate this Agreement if the Lessee acts as follows: - Illegally uses the Service or uses the Service in a way contrary to public order and good morals. - Uses the Service in a way that would severely damage the Service of the Company, either directly or indirectly. - Acts in breach of the Lessee’s responsibilities in this Agreement. - Lessee becomes the object of instituted proceedings for adjudication as voluntary bankruptcy or seeking reorganization. - When there is reasonable cause to unavoidably terminate the Agreement. The damages incurred shall be binding solely upon the Lessee without the Company suffering any obligations.

13. Device Maintenance

13.1 The Lessee is obliged to maintain the Device in a normal serviceable condition. The Lessee is not permitted: - To transfer the right, to sell, to divide into pieces, to modify, to amend, to damage, to abandon, to lose, clearly tarnish the Device (for example, by applying stickers, scratching, or coloring the Device) or to peel the Company sticker off the Device. - To misuse the Device in any way apart from what is stated in this Agreement. - To be in breach of the prohibition Terms of this Agreement. - To act against the law. 13.2 Should any act, as determined by the Company, fall under Clause 13.1, the Company reserves the right to withhold the deposit from the Lessee without any conditions.

14. Damage to, or Loss of, the Device

14.1 The Lessee shall use the Device with reasonable care according to the instructions determined by the Company. 14.2 If the Device is lost, the Lessee shall inform the Company at once. If the Device is being used at the time it is lost, apart from the Service fee paid by the Lessee to the Company, the Lessee shall pay any such additional fee according to the actual usage incurred.

15. Prohibition

The Lessee is not permitted: - To violate any copyright, trademark, any other rights of the Company and any third party, or act in a way that may facilitate such violation. - To act against the Terms and Conditions of this Agreement. - To act against the law. - To install, modify, divide into pieces, and damage the Device. - To sublet, transfer ownership to any third party, or bring the Device into mortgage, causing the Company to lose the right of possession. - To act in any ways considered inappropriate and illegal, as determined by the Company.

16. Limitation and Fair Usage policy

16.1 If the Lessee uses the internet excessively, which is thus believed to be unusual usage, the Company has the right to suspend the use or limit the use of the internet.
